In our House of Deep Purple, Jim manned the front door.

Quick as a cat, sharp as a tack …

If you ran to his side you would surely get whacked.

He was the Captain for all my 9 years, 

And with Jim at the helm, we never had fears!

He had started more games than any player before him…

at two hundred and twenty pounds he was a small Defensive End.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame will never be complete,

Until Captain Jim Marshall is recognized with a seat.
